About
We cover AI, robotics and emerging systems, and we publish the evidence.
StrideNote.net is an independent research publication on AI, robotics and emerging systems. We follow the stories, run the tools on our own hardware, read the code and publish the evidence, so you can check the work instead of taking our word for it. Our tests run the tools on real business tasks and report what they did, what they cost and what they sent home, so a business can see what works before it pays.
Who we are.
StrideNote publishes research on the systems and tools people use every day, and on the companies that build them. The work began with local AI: what an app sends home, what a model needs to run, where a benchmark claim comes from. The same method now reaches further, across robotics and the other systems people depend on, and every piece traces back to one question: how are the systems and tools we use daily, and the people who build them, changing us?
How does Stridenalysis investigate a tool?
Stridenalysis is our research desk. Investigations are the times we ran something and found something off, and the documentaries that expose it. Reports gather a series of investigations into one dataset. Insights are our analysis and explainers. Our tests and benchmarks sit in Playbooks, with the commands to repeat them. Every figure is our own measurement with the method stated, a vendor's number appears only as the vendor's claim, and a tool we have not used gets no verdict. When a retest changes a finding, we update the piece and say what changed.
Is StrideNote independent?
Yes. The research is free to read, and nobody pays for coverage. We also take on production and testing work for businesses, and that work shares our research, never our judgment. A client cannot buy a story, an edit or silence, and being a client buys no protection. When a piece touches a business we have worked with, the piece says so.
We research, ask, test, learn, create, educate, and inform. So you understand how these systems change you.
What we do
- Research
- Read the document. Pull the filing. Trace the language. Primary sources, named and dated. When a story needs it, we investigate deeper: the people, contracts, and decisions behind the systems.
- Ask
- Start with the question. About what changed, who decided it, and what it means for the people not in the room.
- Test
- Try the tools before we say anything about them.
- Learn
- In the open, alongside the people watching. What we figure out, we pass on.
- Create
- Make things. Playbooks, films, templates, sometimes the tools we wished existed.
- Educate
- When explaining a tool helps someone use it well, we explain. Clearly, calmly, without condescension. We report what we found and hand over the evidence so people can see it for themselves.
